In October this year, Ukraine will become an associate member of the European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN. Having the status of associate member, Ukraine may join the new materials, design and implementation of new computing and information technology, development of grid networks to send young scientists to continue training and cooperate in work on research projects CERN.
The opening of these perspectives will create more favorable conditions for talented youth, which should reduce the outflow of personnel abroad. After returning home, scientists who visited CERN, bring with them knowledge and skills that Ukraine is currently impossible to obtain.
Research institutions and enterprises of Ukraine also benefit from associate membership. Yes, they can participate in tenders CERN and receive orders for the manufacture of high-tech equipment. This would allow Ukrainian industrialists compete on a par with their foreign colleagues from CERN contracts and open new opportunities for industrial cooperation in the field of modern technologies.
