Employment of foreigners is carried out without a work permit for persons:

• A permanent residence permit in Ukraine;
• An official refugee status - granted asylum (temporary protection);
• Employees of a foreign fleet (including air), media;
• Employees of foreign companies are employed on the basis of a service card;
• Professional athletes, artists, arts workers;
• Employees of emergency services;
• Clergy to work in religious organizations;
• Workers involved in the framework of international technical assistance projects;
• Teachers to work in state universities.

The main expenditure item permission for foreigner is a state fee for the issuance of permits for the employment of foreigners in Ukraine in the amount of 4 times the minimum wage in Ukraine (with the extension of a work permit is not paid).

The procedure for issuing a work permit a foreign citizen in Ukraine

Documents for a work permit submitted to the employment center at the location of the employer. Within 7 days CZ package shall consider the application and make a decision, after which the Center shall notify the employer of the decision.

The procedure for extending a permit for foreigner

A work permit is issued for a period not exceeding one year and may be renewed for the same term. Under the new rules a work permit documents shall be submitted not later than 20 days before the expiry of the document.

Documents for the extension of a work permit:

• Application - Two color photos;
• Certificate of no criminal record;
• Other documents submitted in case of change.
