Ukrainian higher education participation in the Bologna process is aimed at its development and preservation of the best domestic traditions.
The credit-modular technology of educational process organization provides quality education in information society, each student mobility (possibility of learning in different educational institutions), gaining the ability of self-realization and competitiveness on the labor market. Scientific-pedagogical staff of the Department works for new educational technologies in the educational process that is based on the democratic values of modern scientific-technical achievements of the Bologna ideas.
The main forms of discipline are lectures, practical and laboratory works, course projects and papers, the final stage is the writing of the thesis, project on the educational-qualifying level "Specialist", attestation work on the educational-qualifying level "Master”.
One of the main principles of credit-modular technology is moving the educational process for independent work of students and to introduce the principles of continuous stimulation of student’s self-mastery through the educational material. Therefore, special attention in the teaching activity is paid to organization of independent work of students. All disciplines of the Department are fundamental for professional’s basic training in the communication sphere and provide common professional direction of students’ learning process.
For independent work are carried some separate topics, that are developed by scientific-pedagogical staff through the different textbooks, monographs and textbooks. The material under the leadership of V.K. Steklov, L.N. Berkman is built systematically, does the combination of new methods of construction calculation of telecommunications networks, improvement of development forecasting methods of tools and networks that are based on the latest information and telecommunication technologies. For processing ease and level increasing of deeper learning in the process of independent work at the end of each section presents review questions, and a list of recommended literature. The program of the studies is aimed for increasing the level of learning, thinking skills to analyze the development of thinking and creative abilities, necessary for formation of future specialist high level.
During the lectures and practical classes: “Computer networks and the Internet”, “Basis of CASE-technologies”, “New information technologies”, “Network information technologies”, “Scientific bases of educational process of the higher school” was used Moodle. It was the 1st e-course that included the following educational elements: a survey of students, electronic lectures, tests for self-control, guidelines for laboratory works, control module (testing).
For convenience, the students are given an opportunity to preserve the results of laboratory work in the Moodle system. It gives teachers an opportunity to check the results of performing laboratory works in remote mode. The conduct of the instructor's study program «MOODLE» improved the quality assessment activities. All members of the Department mutually attend training sessions.
The correct approach of the teacher, his skill encourages and stimulates students for independent, regular and continuous testing of educational material. Methodical seminars are held systematically. Scientific-pedagogical staff of the Department actively implements new technologies, forms and methods of training in a higher educational institution.
