The conception of teaching foreign languages in State University of Telecommunications is oriented to new purposes, principles, contents and teaching methods of foreign languages, estimation of gained knowledge according to defined in educational qualification characteristics of specialist typical tasks and skills of its application on practice. Thereby professional, communication-oriented training of students at the university is reasonable and methodically justified. Its aim is to form the ability to speak another language under certain conditions, business, scientific spheres and situations. It has to suit the student’s conception about their future professional occupation (objective occupation), to stimulate the student’s needs to learn foreign languages by corresponding actions (motivation of occupation), to coordinate educational activity under personal student’s purpose (purposefulness of occupation), and to assist actual realization of necessity of learning foreign language as guarantee to become well-educated, cultural, professional, competitively and successful person (consciousness of occupation).

That’s why there are methodical seminars in the department. Data bank of the department of methodical themes is always filled up and systemized.
